We learned from our friends about these giant twist ties from Home Depot that could be used as book or tablet stands. So here it is holding Caleb's hefty English textbook up so he could do his exercises. I love it!
Yes we got them at Home Depot, a hardware store in CA. They are giant twist ties that come straight and in two different sizes (this is the bigger one). You can bend and twist them into almost any shape you like. We got a pack of two one of which we use for book stand and the other Caleb uses it as a "tripod" (kind of like the gorillapod) for his time lapse video... :)
We are from California USA. Andy serves as an English teacher in Vietnam, and Grace homeschools our now 15-year-old son Caleb. We've been in Vietnam for a blessed ten years. Although this blog may not always be up to date, we hope it gives you a glimpse of what life is like for us in Vietnam.

WOw! Did you get these in the states? What a great idea! Do you have to do anything to it or is it already shaped that way?
