Year End Visitors

The Hongos and one of their friends from Hawaii paid us a visit here in Haiphong at the end of 2008. What a pleasant surprise that was! They are long time friends of our teammate Ruth, and they were on a tour through Vietnam singing Hawaiian songs that they wrote and dancing the Hula. They were pros! They stayed for 2 days and put on live shows for many of our students, and even taught them a simple Hula dance. Now, the students probably know more about the Hawaiian culture than the average American. What a blessing Randy, Gay, and Liliko were to us and the students! They even took us out for a nice Japanese dinner on the last day and gave us some money before they left! We took a lot of pictures and video clips. Here are just a few for you to get an idea.
